How to Disable Security Shield on Spectrum Internet

If you are experiencing connection issues with certain apps or streaming services, Spectrum’s Security Shield feature may be blocking the connection. Follow the steps below to disable it.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Log into the Spectrum App
- Open the My Spectrum App on your mobile device.
- Sign in with your Spectrum account credentials.
Step 2: Manage Internet Settings
- Tap on Services.
- Select Internet.
- Choose your active internet connection.
Step 3: Locate Security Shield
- Tap on Security Shield.
Step 4: Disable Security Shield
- Toggle Security Shield OFF.
Step 5: Test Your Service
- Restart your TV device if necessary.
- Open your streaming app and test the connection.
Additional Notes
- Changes may take a few minutes to apply.
- If you continue experiencing issues, reboot your modem/router.
