Seeing this error? “An Error Occurred: MediaCodecVideoDecoderException”

No worries — follow these steps to fix it using VLC on your ONN Streaming Device 👇

If a movie or TV series won’t play or shows that error, do this:

1️⃣ From the main ONN home screen, go to the 🔍 Search bar

2️⃣ Type: VLC Player Android

3️⃣ Select VLC Media Player and click Install

4️⃣ When it’s done, click Open

5️⃣ You’ll see “Welcome to VLC” – press 👉 right once

6️⃣ You’ll now see Permissions

7️⃣ Scroll down to All file access and select it

8️⃣ It will take you to “Allow access to manage all files”

9️⃣ Scroll down and turn it ON for Ultimate TV Solutions

🔟 Then turn it ON for VLC

✅ After that, go back to the movie or video you want to watch and choose:

👉 “Open in External Player”

This should fix most playback issues and that MediaCodecVideoDecoderException error.
